Tableaus are the cards forming the crescent on the outer sides of the board. There are 16 piles in the standard Crescent Solitaire layout, each with 6 cards in them. You can freely drag and drop cards from one tableau to another, or simply hover a top card away to see the one underneath it.
The Foundations are the two rows of four in the center. The top four cards have Kings, while the bottom row has Aces. This is where Cresent Solitaire Online differs from standard Solitaire. You can either build the pile from Aces up or Kings down, or both.
The game ends when you have managed to complete all four suites on the Foundations. To do so, you need to move matching suites among the tableaus in either ascending or descending order. Moving a top card unlocks the one beneath it, giving you more opportunities.
You need to move cards from the tableau piles to the Foundations as soon as possible. The best part is that you can move them back to the tableau if needed to help you unlock more cards. That’s where strategy and quick thinking come in.
Firstly, we recommend you play Crescent Solitaire full-screen. In this way, you can clearly see the suites and numbers without wondering if you’re moving the right cards. It’s also better for your eyes.
Next, pay attention to which cards you have in the Foundation piles and the next card under the tableau pile you’re busy with. It may be best to check all of them to see which would be the ideal move to play next. If it helps, move a Foundation card to the tableau to help unblock piles.
Once you get the hang of it, see if you can improve. Take note of the time and number of moves it took to win the game. From there, start a new game and see if you can do it quicker and in fewer turns.
